Percy Main ready for four consecutive home games

NORTHERN Alliance Premier Division side Percy Main Amateurs start the New Year with four consecutive home games, with the first on Saturday (January 7) against Blyth Town at 2pm),

This follows a festive break which has not seen a ball kicked since December 10, when Walker Central shaded a 1-0 win over the North Tyneside outfit.

Main last met Blyth Town at South Newsham back in August in the corresponding league game when the visitors came away with an impressive 3-0 victory, with club captain Tony Browell on the score sheet.

Team manager Gareth Allan hopes to have a full squad to choose from as well as the addition of new signing David Halliday, a defender who has been playing at Washington.

January’s other games at Purvis Park will see Stocksfield provide the opposition on January 14, Murton a week later and the month will be rounded off on the 28th with a visit from Gateshead Rutherford.
