Ryton & Crawcrook Albion Reserves moved into the Neville Cowey Cup final with a 3-1 victory over Stobswood Welfare.
Stefan Tweddle scored for Stobswood, but a brace from Michael Lowdon and a goal from Michael Robinson saw Ryton into the final at Grounsell Park on April 25 when they will face division one winners Lindisfarne Custom Planet.
Meanwhile Ryton could still miss out on second place in division two and guaranteed promotion after Newcastle East End maintained their challenge in a dramatic 6-4 win at Gosforth Bohemian A.
Bohs led 3-0, but East End brought themselves level only to fall behind again with ten minutes to play. However, Alex Cross’s side roused themselves to net three times in the closing minutes and take the points.
Adam Sirrett, manager David Parker and Jon Paul Bradley (2) got the Bohs goals, with East End’s strikes coming from Joseph Choma, Alex Colquhoun, Jonathan Graham, Harry Johnson and Kristian Gilbert (2).
Two games remain in the second division, with Stobswood hosting East End on Wednesday, April 2, and the reverse fixture on Saturday, April 5.
Stobswood require two wins to secure second place, while four points will guarantee the spot for East End.
Finally, a cup final will be taking place every Friday night in April.
First up on Friday, April 4, is the Tyneside Amateur Challenge Shield Final, with Newcastle Chemfica Reserves taking on North Shields Athletic Reserves. Kick-off at Dunston’s UTS Stadium will be at 7pm and all are welcome.
