School one game away from quadruple

A SCHOOL football team is on the verge of making history by landing the quadruple in one season.

Seaton Burn College’s football team have already secured the North Tyneside Schools District League, League Cup and The Dawson Northumberland County Cup, losing just two games in two years.

And after playing nine rounds in the English Schools’ Football Association (ESFA) Under-13 National Competition – facing teams from Consett, Ovingham, Carlisle, Boston Grammar School (Lincolnshire), Stanley High School (Southport) – they will be up against Suffolk’s Great Cornard Middle School in the final.

The party of boys and parents will travel to Ipswich today, Thursday, ahead of the final at Portman Road, home of Ipswich Town FC, on Friday with a 1.30pm kick-off.
