TYNEMOUTH United Under-11 Yellows made it two wins in a row against Cullercoats after they met for the second weekend running.
Both teams picked up where they left off in last week’s fixture and the opening minutes were played at a frenzied pace.
Yellows keeper Daniel Jackson made a fine save in the fourth minute.
Tynemouth drew first blood with a goal from a Will Forster corner, but no sooner had the celebration died down and Cullercoats equalised direct from a free kick.
Yellows went ahead in the 17th minute with a superb goal from Bradley Ord, firing in from outside the box.
Cullercoats started the second half with an onslaught, dominating for the first ten minutes.
Their persistence paid off when they grabbed their second goal of the game.
Tynemouth began to get a foothold in the game and just two minutes from time Oliver Harrison latched onto a through ball from Forster to fire home left footed.
Tynemouth won a penalty which Harrison converted. However, the referee’s assistant spotted some encroachment and this time, Harrison fired over.
