Wasps turn to feel the Blacks’ sting

WHITLEY Bay Boys’ Club Under-10 Blacks scored five second half goals to beat Tynemouth United Wasps.

An evenly contested first period saw Whitley Bay take the lead after ten minutes when Kennedy latched on to a well weighted through ball to smash the ball past the Tynemouth keeper.

Tynemouth equalised minutes later from a fine volley which took Smith by surprise in goal.

A Kennedy penalty restored the lead when the ball was handled in the area, the first half ending 2-1 in the Blacks’ favour.

Rawlinson quickly added a third at the start of the second half, tapping in at the far post as the Blacks took control of the game.

Diamond scored a fourth with a powerful run through the middle before two quick fire Rawlinson goals gave him his hat-trick.

Kennedy then deservedly scored his third to complete the scoring. At the back Wills, Dunn and Armstrong easily dealt with Tynemouth’s attacks.
