Whitley Bay FC have started their pre-season build-up by playing their first two friendlies of the season.
On Saturday they faced Durham United away from home, a game which ended in a 1-1 draw.
The game was played in very warm conditions and there was a drinks break in each half.
Durham took the lead after 36 minutes but Whitley pressure after the break eventually led to a late equaliser when Michael Annang-Colquhoun converted a cross from Lee Kerr.
On Tuesday Whitley met Ellington at home when they turned in another comprehensive performance, winning 7-0.
On Saturday, Marske United will provide the opposition with a 3pm kick-off.
