Whitley Bay eager to get a game played

After a series of postponements due to waterlogged pitches, Whitley Bay will be hoping to get back into Ebac Northern League action on Saturday with a trip to Heritage Park to face Bishop Auckland.

When the sides met at Hillheads in September, Whitley recorded an excellent 4-1 victory with Paul Chow getting two of the goals.

Bishops are currently in tenth place, two ahead of Whitley, but a win for the Bay would not only give them a league double but would also put the sides level on points.

Despite the growing backlog of fixtures, Whitley do not have a midweek game scheduled for next week so they will be keen to get this weekend’s match played.
