Versatile forward Kyle Ross opened Whitley’s account on 5:47. Two goals scored in quick succession by forwards Jamie Ord and Jordan Barnes made it 3-0 by 8:19. An unassisted goal from Dundee’s Player-Coach John Dolan was the visitors’ only response in the first period.

Whitley made it 4-1 through Callum Watson on 22:26 with Ben Richards adding a fifth before Dundee scored twice for 5-3.

The Comets made it 5-4 on 42:54 but a penalty for boarding altered Dundee’s fortunes and the Warriors responded with another six goals; 16 year-old Thomas Fraser making it 11-4 with his first senior goal on 59:59.
