A host of medals for Battlehill Judo Club

Battlehill Judo Club attended back to back competitions and came away with a host of medals.

The first event was a National Association of Clubs for Young People (NACYP) judo competition held in North Shields, which saw more than 180 competitors take part.

And then they took part in a British Judo Association coloured belt competition at Kendal, which saw a total of 200 competitors.

There was gold medal success for Megan Moody and Tonicha Brown, who also claimed a silver.

Silver medals also went to Danielle Fitzpatrick, Murray Cairns, Paul Coupland, Kieran Tweedy and Sean Young, who also won a bronze.

And there were bronze medals for Harvey Cairns, Kieran Jackson, John Stone, and Kieran Tweedy.

Runner up awards went to Joe Moody, Owen Moody, Daniel Dizyee, Luke Devall McMurray, Mathew Doris and Joe Flaherty.
