Trials bike rider Billy Bolt returned from Scotland this weekend one happy young man.
He spent the previous week battling across boggy moors, up boulders, in streams, on road and across the Scottish Highlands where he fought against some 280 adult riders in the world renowned Scottish Six Day Trial.
Weather conditions in Fort William lived up to their reputation, swaying form gorgeous sunshine through to torrential rain, however, Bolt was determined as ever.
Travelling up to 100 miles per day on his OSSA 125cc trials bike, it was not only his riding skill and ability that shone through but his sheer determination and passion to ensure he came out on top, securing the best newcomer award and the best rider on a machine under 200cc.
He said: “I have watched this trial with my family for the past ten years and couldn’t wait to be old enough to actually take part.
“This first year has been an amazing experience and I am thrilled to have won both titles.”
Now he has a busy schedule coming up.
This weekend he heads to South Wales for the Adult British Championship followed by world and European rounds in the UK, Czech Republic, Sweden, Andorra, America, Belgium, Portugal and Spain.
