Collingwood boys lose title decider

Collingwood Tennis Club teams had mixed fortunes last weekend.

The boys 14s travelled to Gosforth for a title decider but were closely beaten.

Gabe and Sam Allonby won a close doubles and Gabe Allonby also won his singles in a tough 4-2 defeat.

Collingwood girls 12 and under teams still remain unbeaten in both Aegon and Northumberland leagues after last weekend’s 6-0 victory over Northumberland Club.

Number one Laura Day had the toughest match but battled through with some great tennis.

Clara Loughlin combined well with Libby Hall to win the 3/4 doubles and take both singles matches.

With number two Mia Wallace also winning her singles comfortably, Collingwood stay top of the Northumberland A league with three wins from three.
