Collingwood Tennis Club’s girls 12s second team secured back to back Northumberland and Durham league titles with a 6-0 win over Shotley and Benfieldside last weekend.

The team of Clara Loughlin, Mia Wallace, Libby Hall, Jasmine Hacioglu and Anna Winship won all matches in an emphatic season, beating Shotley, Durham Archery, Tynedale, Ponteland and Blaydon.

The girls retained the title they won last year and all players stepped up to play in the 12s first team, who are currently top of the 12 and under A division.

Collingwood’s girls 16s team are awaiting other teams results to see if they are also crowned champions for the second year running also.

The team of Laura Van Ransbeke, Ailsa Denholm, Esmai-Jonczy-Brown, Joanne Cooper, Amy Hedworth, Molly Robinson, Adeline Myburgh and Laura Day are currently top of the league with four wins out of five.
