Collingwood girls 14 and under first and second teams both enjoyed good wins last weekend.
Collingwood seconds travelled to Cramlington and came away with a well deserved 4-2 win with Jasmine Hacioglu and Libby Hall unbeaten in both singles and doubles.
Clara Loughlin also played well to win the number two singles 4-0 4-1. Anna Winship had a tougher game at number one but competed well against strong opposition in the team’s 4-2 victory.
Collingwood girls 14s first team also won 4-2 against a strong Sunderland Tennis Centre with Laura Van Ransbeke remaining unbeaten and combining well with Esmai Jonczyk-Brown to capture the number one doubles rubber also.
Lucy Cox played well at number four singles in her first 14s game but came up against a stronger opponent on the day, eventually losing in two sets.
With Jonczyk-Brown and Hannah Chapman both winning their singles, Collingwood went top of the Northeast league with maximum points.
