North Shields Crusaders recorded a comfortable win over their neighbours from south of the river, Jarrovians 2nds, on Saturday.
For the home team, Olly Henderson came in at hooker with Iain Finlay starting in the back row.
Crusaders scored two early tries with winger Matthew Padden crashing over in the corner and fly-half Kyle Wharton also scored a try, which was converted by Padden for a 12-0 half time lead.
In the second half Jarrowvians reduced the areas with an unconverted try.
Crusaders then scored two tries through Pete Dyers and Bruce Parker to secure the bonus point before Wharton came back on to score a further two tries to get his second hat-trick of the season and notch up 100 points for the campaign.
That made the final score 32-5 to Crusaders.
Man of the match was given to Wharton, who just got the nod ahead of Bruce Parker, Pete Dyers, Adam Eglin and Mark Greenwood.
Next week Crusaders are in county cup semi-final action with a home tie against Northern Panthers.
