Cullercoats boys’ 12s took to the court against Bohemians of Gosforth without any player having played a full ball team match before.

Cullercoats boys’ 14s had a good 8-4 win over Eldon Grove of Hartlepool last weekend.
Josh Short came through a tough three setter 10-3 at number one singles and with Ryan Maughan at number two also coming through an epic 13-11 third set tie-break, Cullercoats took a 2-0 lead.
Andre Streimann and Tom Whiting Adams were unlucky not to pick up a point from the doubles, however, Short and Maughan had no problems winning their doubles 6-3, 6-2.
In a gruelling two-hour-plus battle at number three singles, the resilient Tom Whiting Adams eventually came through a 13-11 winner to seal the match for Cullercoats.
