Cullercoats Tennis Club’s new season started last week with playing opportunities for all.
The club’s extensive coaching programme for juniors and adults and social play kicked-off on April 1, and new members are welcome.
Coaching sessions for juniors takes place on Thursdays from 4.30pm and Saturdays from 9am for all ages.
The cost of junior membership is £35, which includes free coaching, during April and May, year-round access to the courts, family social doubles tournaments, club tournaments and team matches. Subsequent coaching is only £3.50 per session (paid in 12-week blocks).
Family membership costs £220 for two parents and two children.
Coaching sessions for adults take place on Sundays – 5pm to 6pm for absolute beginners, 6pm to 7.30pm for improvers and team/social club players from 7.30pm to 9pm. Adult coaching is free from April to September for members.
Adult membership is £110.
For more information about coaching, contact head coach Stuart Cass on firstname.lastname@example.org on 07787 543072.
Alongside coaching, the club has many social play opportunities with club nights where members can mix-in and play doubles (level and mixed) taking place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 6.30pm – a great way to meet people if you are new to the club.
The club, next to St George’s Church, has three flood-lit courts and a clubhouse, which was refurbished last year. It runs many teams in the Northumberland and Durham and AEGON tennis leagues.
