Eagles help out students with enterprise and business skills

A GROUP of John Spence Community High School students have been working with the owner of Newcastle Eagles Basketball Club to develop their business and enterprise skills.

Their work culminated with pupils supporting the management of the second leg of the British Basketball Trophy game against Mersey Tigers in front of a crowd of 2,500.

Eagles owner Paul Blake said: “The students were extremely enthusiastic and were a credit to their school.

“I have been working with them for six weeks and every one of them made a positive contribution to the staging of what was our biggest home game of the season so far.”
