Hartlepool beat Rockcliff at the death

A weakened Rockcliff side missing eight first team regulars earned a bonus point against Hartlepool who won the game at the death.

Christ Forster’s boot had edged Rockcliff 12-11 up, with four penalties against a try and two penalties from the visitors.

But as the game drew to a close, Rockcliff looked to hold on but had a player sin binned and Hartlepool took advantage of the extra man to score and convert a try for 18-12.

The Red and Golds have dropped to sixth place but have a chance to get back on track away to fifth placed Bishop Auckland next week.
