North Shields School of Boxing held their first annual home show of 2014 at a packed Kings Street Social Club.
A capacity crowd cheered on local boxers, however, there was mixed success for the club.
Callum Roadment, Billy Grieveson and Chris Barton were unlucky not to receive the decision in closely contested bouts and Steven Hartwell, making his debut, was also on the wrong end of a close decision against Alex Rayson of Swalwell.
The talented Andy Spowart was chief support of the evening against Ross Fuller of Newbiggin ABC ,where he showed excellent ring skills to dominate an entertaining bout which was awarded fight of the night.
Main event of the evening was between Dom Hattan, of North Shields School of Boxing, giving away weight and age against an opponent from Yorkshire.
Hattan showed maturity and skill with an all-round good display of boxing to be awarded a unanimous decision.
North Shields School of Boxing now look forward to a successful end of the season with a number of bouts scheduled.
