North Shields Athletic Reserves extended their lead at the top of the Tyneside Amateur League with an 8-2 win over Blyth Town Development on Saturday.
There were braces from Daniel Haggerston, Connor Bland and Matty Thompson, and single strikes from Leeroy Odd and Nicky Bramwell. Chris Arkless and Brandon Nadeem netted for the visitors.
Ponteland United Reserves were seconds away from taking three points away from their trip to West Jesmond, but a last gasp equaliser meant they had to settle for a share of the spoils.
Daniel Potter and Daniel Troughton scored for Pont, but Stephen Callaghan and Ed Shanks earned a point for West Jesmond.
In the clash between the bottom two, Newcastle Chemfica Reserves took a two-goal lead before half-time through Connor Quinn and Osas Samson, but Killingworth YPC fought back to share the points with goals from Curtis Dawson and Kyle Stocks.
