Rockcliff kept their top four finish ambitions alive with a five-point win over a tenacious Seaton Carew.
Rockcliff scored five tries through Charlie Muzzlewhite, Chris Keen, Simon Tindall, Liam Bowman and the evergreen Neil Thornton. Andrew Webster added three conversions. Muzzlewhite’s try came from a well worked team move and he ran on from out wide to touch down, converted by Webster for 7-0.
Seaton Carew responded with an unconverted try.
Keen then burst over from a short range penalty for Rockcliff’s next score, and the score was unchanged at half-time.
In the second half Rockcliff upped the pressure and a superb chip from Webster sent Tindall through for Rockcliff’s third.
The Red and Golds kept the foot on the pedal and when Tindall broke through again, Thornton was on hand to drive over from five metres out and score the bonus point winning try.
Bowman added Rockcliff’s fifth, and as the game drew to a close, Seaton Carew scored a consolation try for 31-10.
Rockcliff are at home again next Saturday, with Sunderland the visitors.
