Seven-medal haul for judo club in competition

North Shields-based Terminus Judo Club entered seven members in the South Shields Judo Club development competition with all returning home with medals.

The event aims to develop judo players skills and be an introduction to competitive action, to integrate with other players and train with other clubs.

Gold medals were awarded to Joe McLuster and Caitlan McAndrew while there were silver medals for Aaron Adlard and Robert Holland.

Bronze medallists were Joseph Ward, Josh Eyer and Mark Dixon.

The club had a successful weekend attending two tournaments on consecutive days winning a total of 23 medals.

The club trains on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6.15pm to 7.15pm for juniors and 7.15pm to 8.15pm for seniors.
