Following a successful 2015 season, Tynemouth Rowing Club are aiming to continue and improve throughout 2016 into 2017 for the preparation of the 150th anniversary to celebrate the club’s formation in 1867.
Last season began with a well attended ‘Learn to Row’ course and concluded with the hosting of the Great Tyne Row.
In between, taster sessions were held for anyone who wanted to try their hand at rowing.
Meanwhile races were won and lost with Tynemouth competing in the Northern Rowing Sunday League.
Tynemouth Rowing Club’s main aim for 2016 is to cater for the learner, recreational and or competitive rower, also coxing and coaching.
Rowing from Tynemouth offers a fantastic way of keeping fit as well as the excitement of rowing in the sea because of our unique location.
