Whitley Warriors headed to North Wales on Sunday evening for a league clash with the Deeside Dragons and they returned with an 11-6 victory to their credit.
David Longstaff gave the Tynesiders an early lead and Shaun Kippin made it 2-0 before the home side hit back to level through Parsons and Chapell.
The 2nd stanza saw the home side take the initiative and Dragons held the advantage by 6-4 with both of the Whitley strikes coming from Kippin, who had claimed his hat-trick against his former side.
The game turned on its head in the final 20 minutes of play though as Warriors netted just 24 seconds into the period through Ben Richards before two quick powerplay goals from Dean Holland saw Whitley take the lead once more.
Whitley continued to create chances and Kippin and Richards both grabbed further strikes which saw the scoreline 9-6 in the visitors favour.
Phil Edgar then grabbed two late goals for the Warriors to complete the scoring.
Ben Richards was named man of the match.
