Whitley Warriors’ young forward Callum Queenan was part of the GB Under-18 squad that claimed the bronze medal in Division 2 A of the World Championships in Tallinn, Estonia, last week.

And Warriors head coach Simon Leach was also part of the GB party as he is assistant to Solway Sharks’ Martin Grubb.

Queenan appeared in all five games GB played as they claimed regulation time victories over both Estonia and Croatia and a penalty shots success against Holland, which secured the bronze medal.

During the tournament, Queenan had a tally a rating of plus one, while he had four shots on the opposition goal.
