Rhys Johnstone got the Red and Golds scoreboard ticking over with two penalties in the early exchanges, and then added to his tally when he converted Rockcliff's opening try from Ryan Rapallo.

Dean Harrison and Steven Pentland scored as try apiece, converted by Johnstone, and then as the game was coming to a close, Johnstone scored Rockcliff's fourth try of the game, converted by Michael Hansen for 50-32 at the close.

Next week Rockcliff are at home to Northern.

Pocklington 34

Percy Park 15

Park came away empty handed from Percy Road as Pocklington bagged much needed league points. The defeat leaves Percy Park only one point above the relegation zone.

It took Pocklington 20 minutes to open the scoring with a penalty after Michael Langlands was yellow carded for a no arms tackle. A try from Davison, converted, saw the hosts go 10-0 in front.

Park’s woes were compounded when tight head Michael Birkett went off injured, and with scrum dominance the Pock pack pushed Park over the line for their second try with number 8 Marcus Britland getting the touch down. The conversion took the home team into a 17- 0 half time lead.

Percy Park narrowed the deficit with a Grove penalty before Pocklington increased their lead with a penalty of their own for 20-3.

Matty Boustead scored a good try cutting through the home defence and Grove converted to bring Park back into the game at 20-10.

The brief respite was short lived as scrum half Davison burst through a ruck 40m out to cross for Pock and with the conversion they now led 27-10.

Park then gifted the home side their bonus point try with a loose pass being intercepted and the conversion took Pocklington out of sight at 34 -10.

Kieron Sutherland crossed for Park’s second try which was unconverted just before the final whistle.
