Shields win high-scoring game
Gateshead 31North Shields RFC 41North Shields came from 21-12 down at half-time to win a high scoring game at Gateshead on Saturday.
The game was in the melting pot at 31-34 with just three minutes remaining on the clock, and a man down, but it was Scott Murphy who smashed his way over for what proved to be the decisive score.
Earlier a Ricki Hasnip try cancelled out a Gateshead score. The home side went 14-7 up, but Tony Jordan went over for 14-12, Gateshead again stealing a march beforer the break.
Ryan Ramsay scored and a penalty made it 21-22 before Benji Dalton was yellow carded. Matty Dockey and Will Forster also scored, setting up the grand finale.
