Mothers and their daughters (aged 13-plus) are being invited to attend rugby union training sessions.

The sessions have been arranged following research conducted by Women In Sport which suggests that one in four young women would be more likely to join a sport if their mothers also played.

These will be held at Hillheads in Whitley Bay, every Saturday from January 11 to February 8 (from 12noon to 1pm)

Sessions will also be held at Blaydon’s Crow Tree Ground over the same period between 10-11am.

Top coaches will be available at both venues.
