Photographers shine in open competition

Whitley Bay Photographic Society has held its first projected image competition of the season.

The open contest was judged by Jim Welsh from Blyth Photographic Society, and there was a large entry.

David McAllister took first and second places in the club class. Other places went to Stu Williams, Peter Reynolds and Alan Watson, and Derek Grant was highly commended.

Peter Craig was first in the advanced section, while president Jeff Evans took second and third places. Fourth and fifth went to Anne Swearman and Alan Porrett, with Peter Craig, Chris Hales and Antonio Marques highly commended.
