Classic car owners from the borough are preparing to hit the road to raise money for charity.
More than 700 are expected in Tynedale Park, Corbridge, on Sunday, July 7, for MG Northumbria’s Classic Vehicle Show.
The event is being organised by the Backworth Hall-based club, which is part of the national MG Owners Club.
The show will contain cars of all makes, including some rare models, as well as commercial vehicles, motor bikes and sports cars.
There will be entertainment for all the family, including live music from Prelude and the Moat Brothers, a dog-agility display, fun dog show, flight simulator, archery and children’s rides.
There will also be a wide range of traders and charity stalls operating.
The event has raised nearly £45,000 in the last seven years, including £12,000 last year, which has been donated to local causes.
The show opens to the public at 11am and then there will be the presentation of awards for a number of categories, including the best vehicle in the show at 4pm.
The closing date for category entries is Friday, June 19.
