A young music star is celebrating after taking home a top prize.
Brook Miller, from Whitley Bay, won the public vote to secure the Got Talent award at Northumberland Live.
More than 6,000 people attended the event, held at Attlee Park in Bedlington, which was organised by local charity Leading Link.
Brook, 13, a pupil at Marden Bridge Middle School, has been singing for a few years, but only recently started playing the guitar, self-teaching himself from the internet.
His mother Sharon said: “He only started playing the guitar about six or seven months ago. He has always sung.
“He didn’t expect to win, he didn’t even expect to get placed. He was gobsmacked.
“He has done the Teen Star shows before and got to the live shows, but never placed. He is now hoping to do more gigs, and for charity.”
