Concert to celebrate youth music

A BOROUGH organisation are holding a special concert this month celebrating youth music in North Tyneside.

The Rotary Club of North Shields will hold their 25th anniversaty concert at the Playhouse Whitley Bay, on Sunday, May 22, at 7.30pm.

The concert will feature the North Tyneside Youth Training Band with conductors John Flood and Philip Noble, The North Tyneside Children’s Choir with directors Kaye Rudd and Imelda Milner, The Vermond Big Band with director Chris Kaberry, and the North Tyneside Concert Band, with conductor Bob Harrison.

Proceeds from the concert will go to Mencap and North Tyneside General Hospital’s Oncology Department.
