The annual Whitley Bay Classic Car Show is returning.

More than 500 cars – from the 1930s to more recent models – will be at the sixth Whitley Bay Classic Car Show taking place on The Links on Sunday, September 15.

Cars from around the world will be on show and many local classic car clubs will be gathering, including NECPWA, MG Northumbria, TVR Club and Jaguar Enthusiasts.

Coun Sarah Day, Cabinet Member for Culture, Sport and Leisure said: “We’re really excited for this year’s show. It’s shaping up to be a great day with a fantastic collection of cars on display, as well as entertainment for families.”

The event starts at 10am through until 3pm, and owners will all be on hand to chat about the history of their cars to visitors and fellow enthusiasts.

There will also be live jazz music, small fairground rides and a range of street food and refreshments.

The free event is organised by North Tyneside Council and is supported by Briar Dene Pub and Eatery.
