Young gig-goers only have a few days left to get their tickets for an outdoor music festival exclusively for 11 to 19-year-olds.
The Event@Segedunum will showcase the musical talents of 13 young bands from the borough.
The popular event is being held from noon to 5pm on Saturday, July 6, in the grounds of Segedunum Roman Fort in Wallsend.
Wristbands, which cost £3, are available to any youngsters who live, work or study in the borough, and can be purchased from the YMCA, Church Way, North Shields, or Segedunum Roman Fort.
Alternatively, youngsters can email firstname.lastname@example.org or call (0191) 643 8215.
The winning band from the event will go on to play on the Sunday stage at the Mouth of the Tyne Festival, being held in Tynemouth, the following weekend.
The Event@Segedunum has been orchestrated by North Tyneside’s Young Mayor, Isaac Sidney, and North Tyneside Council, in partnership with Tyne and Wear Museums and Archives, and is part of the authority’s Ban Boredom campaign, highlighting the range of activities available in the borough this summer.
