House in grounds of care home set to get go-ahead
The application, for a two-storey, three-bedroom house on land at Ravensmount Residential Home, Alnmouth Road, sparked seven objections from neighbours.
It goes before Tuesday’s meeting of Northumberland County Council’s planning and performance committee following a request from Alnwick’s Coun Heather Cairns, who is concerned about loss of privacy, loss of mature trees and a query about the access.

Hide AdHowever, the plans have been amended to remove a controversial balcony and to clarify the location of the access road.
As reported by the Gazette before Christmas, Ravensmount Residential Care Home is closing due to financial constraints.
