Despite having to cancel its first three markets of the year due to Covid-19 restrictions, its July market drew large crowds and lots of traders.
“Traders were delighted to be back in business again and local residents told us they greatly appreciated the opportunity of seeing people they hadn’t seen for some time as they had felt socially isolated for months,” said organiser Ann Love.

The market, set up in 2018, not only provides an opportunity to buy locally made produce and crafts but gives Wooler businesses opening on Sunday, a chance of welcoming extra custom.
The next market takes place on Sunday, August 16 from 10.30am to 2pm at the bus station when there will be a wide variety of produce available from local game, meat, cheese, bakery products to local beer, fruit beer and gin and many different local crafts.
A full list of traders will be posted on its Facebook page, Wooler Farmers’ Market, a few days before the event.
