However, isolated areas in the north and south-east of the county have recorded an increase in cases.
Latest data from Public Health England, published by Northumberland County Council, reveals the county-wide infection rate was 235.7 per 100,000 on January 13.
There were 755 confirmed positive cases in the seven days up to that date.
By comparison, on January 6 the county-wide infection rate was 304.1 per 100,000 with 974 confirmed cases.
