Body found in Druridge Bay area after search for missing Hadston man Craig Bramwell

Craig Bramwell was reported as missing on Tuesday, September 26 after leaving an address on Hedgehope Court in Hadston at around 8.30am.

Searches to locate the 43-year-old had been carried out but officers have sadly found a body in the Druridge Bay area.

A statement by Northumbria Police said: “Formal identification is yet to take place but next of kin have been notified and are currently being supported by specialist officers.

“This is an extremely sad conclusion to an extensive investigation and we want to thank everyone who helped in our searches and shared our appeal.

“Officers do not believe there to be any third party involvement and once formal identification has been completed a report will be prepared for the coroner.”
