Pensioner killed when car hit wall in Northumberland is identified by police

Northumbria Police has identified the 79-year-old, who died tragically after his car collided with a wall when driving past the village earlier this weekend.
At 8.30am on Saturday, April 3, it was reported that a white Suzuki had been travelling westward on the Fountain Head Bank route towards The Avenue (A190) when, for reasons yet to be established, the vehicle veered off the road and hit a wall.

Hide AdPolice and emergency services attended the scene shortly afterwards. The driver of the car was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and sadly passed away yesterday.
He can now be identified as George McCall, from Seaton Sluice.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing and officers are still appealing for any witnesses of the collision, or anyone with dashcam footage of the incident, to come forward.
