Dozens set for Boxing Day Dip in Berwick area
A traditional event in Berwick where people get soaked in aid of good causes is all set for 2022 at 11am on December 26 at Spittal beach.

Dozens of brave swimmers will go into the icy North Sea to raise money for various charities and to shake off the cobwebs from the day before.
Georgina Hill, Northumberland County councillor for Berwick East, and Colin Hardy, county councillor for Norham and Islandshires, will once again be part of a team taking part in the Boxing Day Dip in aid of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Hide AdCoun Hill said: “This is a really popular and worthwhile event and I encourage as many people as possible to join us in the sea or come along and spectate on the day.
“Participants should aim to get to the beach by 10.45am in order to be part of the preparation, warm up and count down.”
