The town lies just two miles south of the border and has famously changed hands 13 times between the English and the Scots.
Its football team, Berwick Rangers, plays in the Scottish football pyramid despite being on English soil.
And many of the town’s residents think of themselves as Berwickers first and English or Scottish second.
Here’s what they think ahead of the big game...
1. Berwick Visitor Centre
Wendy Weightman, left, and Anne Williams, work at Berwick Visitor Centre. They were both born at Castle Hills maternity hospital in Berwick but Wendy will be supporting England while Anne is in the Scottish camp.
Wendy said: "My mum and dad are also born and bred Berwick and they support England and I'm the same. I think England will win 2-0."
Anne, however, said: "Hundreds of years ago when the river was the border Castle Hills would have been on the Scottish side. My parents and grandparents were born in Scotland so my allegiances have always been with them. But people here will first and foremost say they are Berwickers." Photo: Ian Smith
2. Borderer
Alan Potts was born in the Scottish Borders but has lived in Berwick for many years.
"I'm sitting close to the fence on this one," he said. "I like to see all the home nations do well and Scotland did brilliantly just to get to the finals. I think England have enough to beat them but I think it will be a close game." Photo: Ian Smith
3. Thistle do Nicely
Fraser Campbell, who runs the Thistle do Nicely cafe, is a proud Scot but says: "I can't see Scotland winning." Photo: Ian Smith
4. Coulls
Bob and Natasha Coull, who run a fish and chip shop, are in the Scottish camp.
Bob said: "I was born at Castle Hills in Berwick but then moved to Eyemouth where my dad was a fisherman.
"I have to say Scotland will win 2-1. England have a better team but there will be 11 Scotsmen who will play like they have never played before." Photo: Ian Smith
