Range of summer jobs is up for grabs

Alnwick Castle is one of the largest and most popular tourist venues in the North East and most jobs there involve dealing with visitors, or potential visitors.

The recruitment drive includes state room and tour guides, language speaking guides, visitor services and admissions, historical interpreters and performers, cleaning operatives, retail assistants and food and beverage assistants.

A spokesman said: “We are dedicated to the highest standards of customer service. We are all ambassadors for the castle. Attitude and aptitude can be more important than lots of experience, and in some roles we can offer real flexibility – there are opportunities for people with all kinds of needs.

“Every year, we employ extra staff during the busy summer season. Our summer recruitment takes place well before the summer begins, with applications considered in the spring.”

The closing date for all applications is Friday, January 22.
