Scouts go wild for the west
They were taking part in Northumberland Scouts’ Wild West Marra camp, four days of activities at Causey Park Farm, near Morpeth. The camp had a Wild West theme, including a gold rush, trading post and village to explore.
The six to 18-year-olds enjoyed a range of activities, inclduing archery, zorbing, climbing, ziplines, crafts, drumming, global workshops, survival skills and radio presenting.

Hide AdThe fun didn’t stop at night with discos, talent competitions, an opening ceremony, cinemas and a UV silent disco turning each evening into a party extravaganza with a festival atmosphere.
The event celebrated 100 years of Cub Scouts. More than 600 Cubs on the camp took part in a special party with games, cupcakes and a campfire to mark the occasion.
Event media manager Stu Bennett said: “The atmosphere on site was electric and it was amazing to see so many young people learning new skills, meeting new friends and taking part in life-changing adventures.”
