Second win for Alnmouth & Lesbury

Alnmouth & Lesbury 1sts picked up their second win of the season in the Northumberland & Tyneside Cricket League Division 1 on Saturday with a seven wicket away victory over Seaton Burn 1sts.

In a low scoring game, Seaton Burn were all out for only 59 with Fushan Hermantha doing all the damage with 6-15. Alnmouth were then 63-3 in reply in 24 overs.

In Division 2, Alnwick 1sts won by 28 runs away to Lintz 1sts. Alnwick posted 228-5 in their innings with opener James Crooks on 119 not out. Lintz made 200 in reply with Logan Lovell on 109, Max Harrison taking 5-32.

Warkworth 1sts won by 29 runs at home against Bedlington 1sts. In a low scoring game, Warkworth must have wondered if their total of 88 all out was enough, but they bowled the visitors out for only 59 with Majid Ansari taking three wickets.

Alnmouth & Lesbury 2nds won by 25 runs at home to Benwell & Walbottle 1sts. Alnmouth were 167-6 in their 45 overs, with Benwell bowled all out for 142.

In Division 5 North, Warenford lost by six wickets away to Bedlington 2nds. Michael Thompson was 96 not out at Waren made 151-6, but Bedlington were 152-4 in reply with Derek Shepherd on 60.

Rock lost by 34 runs away to Tillside 2nds. Tillside were 152 all out with Roman Atkinson on 42, Harry Parkinson taking four wickets. Rock were all out for 118 in reply, Alan Hindmarsh taking 4-27.

Alnwick 2nds suffered a ten wicket home defeat at the hands of Cramlington 2nds. Alnwick were bowled out for only 28 with Alan Livingstone taking 6-16. The visitors then chased it down at 30-0 in 11 overs.

Howick won by 53 runs at home to Blagdon 2nds. Howick put on 122-9, with Blagdon all out for 69 in reply.

In Division 6 North, Embleton conceded their game against table toppers Berwick 2nds earlier in the week, the maximum points awarded keeping the Pier Field side in prime position.

Wooler had a nine wicket home win over Ulgham 2nds. Ulgham were 61 all out with Andrew Aitchison and Angus Todd taking four wickets apiece. Wooler (64-1) chased it down in 25 overs.

Warkworth 2nds lost by five wickets away to Blyth 2nds.
