Peter Pan pantomime ready to fly into newly refurbished Alnwick Playhouse

Hide AdPeter Pan was first staged by J.M. Barrie 115 years ago and has been given the panto treatment by Peter Lewis and friends from Alnwick Theatre Club.
One of the lovely things about Peter Pan is that J.M. Barrie gave the rights to the story to Great Ormond Street Children’s Charity who receive the licence royalty payments every time Peter Pan is performed.
So, by coming to support the panto this year the Alnwick audience will be supporting Great Ormond Street Hospital and all the fantastic work it does for sick children.
The panto this year is directed by Susan Joyce and produced by Ann and Peter Lewis and Jimmy Dodds with choreography by Helen Gee-Graham.

Alnwick Theatre Club is celebrating its 70th year and Peter Pan has never been performed in all that time – so the production this January will be a whole series of firsts.
Director Susan Joyce said: “We are all so excited to be producing this as the first live community show in the new Playhouse.
“We have a smashing cast with a strong chorus of youngsters including many from the Playhouse Youth Theatre.
